Skoda unveils Pricing for Sporty Kodiaq RS SUV
Czech automaker Skoda has announced pricing for the highly anticipated Kodiaq RS,its performance-oriented SUV. Starting at €57,900 in Germany, the new model promises a thrilling driving experience combined with practicality.
After teasing images and details of the second-generation Kodiaq RS in late October, Skoda has finally revealed the price tag and technical specifications.
Under the hood, the Kodiaq RS boasts a powerful four-cylinder turbocharged engine from Volkswagen, delivering 265 horsepower – a 20 horsepower increase over its predecessor. This matches the output of the octavia RS sedan, but the Kodiaq RS boasts a higher maximum torque of 400 Nm, surpassing the Octavia RS by 30 Nm.
Paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission and all-wheel drive, the five-seat Kodiaq RS sprints from 0 to 62 mph in a brisk 6.3 seconds. The seven-seat version is slightly slower, clocking in at 6.5 seconds. Both configurations share a top speed of 144 mph.
Visually,the Kodiaq RS stands out with exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels,sporty bumpers,black exterior accents,and a horizontal light bar integrated into the front grille. The rear features tinted windows, red accents connecting the LED taillights, and trapezoidal exhaust tips finished in stainless steel.
Inside, the Kodiaq RS comes standard with matrix LED headlights, a progressive steering system, adaptive DCC Plus suspension with selectable driving modes, a black interior with red stitching, electrically adjustable sport seats with memory function, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a premium 14-speaker Canton sound system.
The Kodiaq RS is available in a unique Velvet-Red Metallic paint color.
