New Taipei City, Taiwan – After months of repairs,‌ the‌ New Taipei MRT Circular Line fully reopened to the public at ‌noon today, bringing much-needed relief to commuters. The reopening comes six months ahead‌ of schedule, thanks to the tireless efforts of the New Taipei City Rapid Transit Bureau and its partners. “We completed restoration of nine span steel box girders, replaced 1,438 track base⁤ plates, and restored 1,050 meters of track length,” said Li Zheng’an,‌ a representative from ⁢the⁣ New Taipei City Rapid Transit ⁣Bureau.

Extensive safety measures were implemented during the repair process. “We have specially installed a⁣ double safety system,extensively replaced and optimized the‍ disc supports,and added‍ permanent anti-fall bridges and anti-pull-out devices to prevent displacement,” Li added.

The reopening was celebrated with a ceremonial ride from Banxin Station to zhonghe Station, led by ⁢New Taipei City ⁢Mayor Hou ⁢You-yi.”We⁤ are thrilled to have the⁣ Circular ‍Line back in operation,” said Mayor‍ Hou. “This will greatly⁣ improve transportation options for our residents and ⁤visitors.”

Normal⁢ service has resumed, with trains running​ every 5 to 7 minutes during off-peak hours and 8 to 10 minutes⁣ during peak hours. The reopening is ‌welcome ⁤news for commuters who rely on the Circular Line to navigate the city, especially as the holiday season approaches.
