New Year, New Dreams: Li Wenwen, ‘Liang Wang’ Group, and Zhang Boheng Inspire Young Minds to Soar

As the new school year begins, Hunan Satellite TV’s “Hello, Saturday” is set to broadcast a special episode, “Let’s Get Ready for the New Students Sports Meeting,” featuring four Olympic athletes who returned with honors from the Paris Olympics.
The Chinese sports delegation made history at the Paris Olympics, winning 40 gold medals, 27 silver medals, and 24 bronze medals. Olympic champion Li Wenwen and badminton men’s doubles team Liang Weikeng/Wang Chang made a special appearance on the show.

Athletes from Hunan also made significant contributions, winning 4 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Zhang Boheng, a gymnastics team member, won 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal, and brought laughter and excitement to the show.
The four Olympic athletes participated in a game session that tested balance, reaction, and teamwork. They also shared their private playlists at the final welcome music tea party, revealing their personal preferences and experiences.
Zhang Boheng shared his experience of being moved by the lyrics of a song he played 81 times. He emphasized the importance of recognizing the contributions of unknown individuals, including team doctors, coaches, and staff.
The show highlighted the youthful vitality and optimism of the post-00 athletes outside the stadium. The sincere messages from the four athletes to young people at the beginning of the school season inspired confidence and warmth.
The show ended with a surprise, as young athletes from Changsha presented their artwork and blessings to the four Olympic athletes. The athletes were deeply moved by the children’s gestures and expressed their hope for more people to participate in and support sports.
Wang Chang encouraged young people to prioritize physical exercise and build a strong body. He hoped that the episode would convey positive sportsmanship and inspire more people to embark on the path of hard work and health.
