Once again, a grand jury refuses to indict Letitia James, who is considered one of Donald Trump‘s enemies.
A federal grand jury in Alexandria, Virginia declined Thursday to indict New York State Attorney Letitia James, reports NBC News and Washington Postboth of which refer to two unnamed sources.
This was the Justice Department’s third attempt to indict James after months of pressure from President Donald Trump.
A federal judge last month dismissed mortgage-related charges against James, as well as separate charges against earlier ones FBI Director James Comey. The judge ruled that the prosecution in both cases had been illegally appointed.
This is the third time the Ministry of Justice in USA unable to indict the public prosecutor.
Last week they also tried to indict her, but then in Norfolk, Virginia. Even then they fail.
James is considered one of those US President Donald Trump is taking revenge on.
She led the fraud case against Donald Trump, in which the American president was sentenced to pay around NOK 4.5 billion in fines.
She is accused of having given incorrect information when she applied for a mortgage. She herself denies having done anything wrong and has said that she made a mistake when she filled in a form related to the mortgage, but that she quickly corrected it.
