New York Lawyer Accused of Assaulting Six Women

Ryan Hemor New Yorkin a period of five months. The District Prosecutor’s Office presented a formal accusation of 116 positions before the State Supreme Court, accusing it of predatory sexual assault, violation and aggression. Authorities estimate that there could be more victims.

The 43 -year -old lawyer, with experience in private and high profile capital, attracted women who knew his apartment near the Empire State of Midtown. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, in that place Ryan Hempill abused them, drugged and tortured them for hours, even used an electroshock necklace and an electric wand, he reported The New York Times.

Ryan Hempill was arrested on March 1 and has remained in prison since that time. In his reading last Thursday, the lawyer declared himself “not guilty” and the judge ordered that he continue to be held, according to the information of NBC News.

“The defendant told these survivors that it was untouchable”declared district prosecutor Alvin Bragg at a press conference. “We claim that he threatened women and used their position as a lawyer to intimidate them and prevent them from denouncing these crimes. This investigation continues and we have reasons to believe that there could be more survivors,”he added.

“The details of this case are extremely disturbing: a sustained and calculated campaign of violence and cruelty directed against vulnerable women. This type of predatory abuse has no place in our city and will face the entire weight of the law”said the commissioner of the New York Police Department, Jessica S. Tisch.

The prosecution alleges that Ryan Hempill used his wealth and power as a weapon, hitting and drugping women to contain them, threatening them with guns and knives, before raping them, in what Bragg described as “Hours of physical and sexual violence”.

In certain complaints, the Prosecutor’s Office argues that Hempill would have requested several women to tell him traumatic experiences related to sexual abuse of the past, and then allegedly recreate those situations in later meetings. In addition, he is charged to have registered those acts with video cameras installed in his own apartment.

With a court order, the authorities registered Hempill’s apartment and found high capacity loaders and hundreds of bullets, an electric picana, large amounts of drugs and surveillance cameras with videos of dozens of women, according to the Prosecutor’s Office. “Tens, if not hundreds of women appear in those recordings”prosecutor Bragg declared

Supposedly, Ryan Hempill met his victims in different dating portals on the Internet, offered great sums of money in exchange for sex and company. In many cases, the lawyer never paid their aged amounts and on other occasions they gave them false money, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.

For now, all charges against them are accusations and it is presumed that prosecuted persons are innocent until their guilt is proven in court. If it is convicted, Ryan Hempill could face life imprisonment.
