Leadership Appointment Enhances Systemwide Quality Initiatives
Bassett Healthcare Network, based in Cooperstown, New York, has appointed Carlton Rule, MD, as its Chief Quality Officer, effective November 6, 2023.Dr. Rule will lead systemwide quality programs, focusing on patient safety, performance advancement, and regulatory compliance across all six hospitals and associated clinics within the network.
Continued Role in Medical Affairs
In addition too his new role, Dr. Rule will continue to serve as vice President of medical Affairs for Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. He will also maintain oversight of the network’s critical access hospitals, including Cobleskill Regional Hospital, Little Falls Hospital, and O’Connor Hospital in Delhi, New York.
Decades of Experience within Bassett Healthcare
Dr. Rule brings over 20 years of leadership experience within Bassett Healthcare Network and more than 30 years practicing family medicine. His prior roles include serving as President and CEO of both O’Connor Hospital and Tri-Town Regional Hospital in Sidney, New York, from 2014 to 2017, and as Medical Director of Bassett’s southern region health centers.
