Bassett Healthcare​ Network, based in Cooperstown, New York, has appointed Carlton Rule, ‌MD, as its Chief Quality Officer, effective November⁤ 6, 2023.Dr. Rule will lead systemwide quality programs, focusing ⁣on ‌patient safety, performance advancement,‌ and regulatory compliance across all six hospitals and associated clinics within the ⁣network.

Continued Role in Medical Affairs

In ‌addition too ‌his new role, Dr. Rule will continue to serve as vice President of medical Affairs for Bassett Medical Center ‌in⁤ Cooperstown. He will also maintain oversight of the‌ network’s critical access ⁢hospitals, including Cobleskill Regional Hospital, Little‌ Falls Hospital, and ‍O’Connor Hospital in Delhi, New York.

Decades of Experience within Bassett Healthcare

Dr. Rule brings⁣ over 20 years ⁣of ⁤leadership experience within Bassett Healthcare Network and ​more than 30 years‍ practicing family ‍medicine. His ‌prior roles include serving⁢ as President and CEO of both O’Connor ⁣Hospital ⁣and Tri-Town Regional Hospital in Sidney, ⁢New York, ⁣from ⁢2014 ⁢to 2017,⁢ and as Medical Director of ⁢Bassett’s southern region health centers.
