The betting odds for the 2026 NFL Draft’s first round have been released, offering a clear projection of how Las Vegas sportsbooks anticipate the opening night will unfold. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is the overwhelming favorite to be selected first overall by the Las Vegas Raiders, with odds of -20000 reflecting near-certainty in his status as the draft’s top prospect.

Beyond the first pick, the odds reveal a draft class marked by significant uncertainty, particularly from the second selection onward. While Mendoza’s status as the No. 1 pick is described as “the one true lock” of the 2026 class, DraftKings’ projections show minimal separation among several prospects for early positions, with many picks featuring odds shorter than 10-to-1 and often shorter than 5-to-1, indicating a wide range of plausible outcomes.

Outside of the first overall pick, the 2026 NFL Draft is one of the least predictable drafts in recent memory.

As early as pick No. 2, things become far less certain to draft experts and sportsbooks.

The rest of the 30 picks feature a handful of potential selections at odds shorter than 10-to-1 – and often shorter than 5-to-1 – suggesting more uncertainty.

One day before the draft is set to begin, DraftKings Sportsbook has betting odds projecting the result of each of the first 32 picks this year.

Mendoza is the heavy favorite to be the top pick, and the sportsbook’s projection for the No. 2 pick also has minus odds.

Here’s how the 2026 NFL Draft might look if each pick went the way DraftKings Sportsbooks odds suggest:

The one true lock of this year’s draft class. Mendoza has been projected to be the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft since before the NFL season – and his championship season at Indiana – was over. The betting odds “agree” here, with all signs pointing to the Raiders to make the Heisman Trophy winner their quarterback of the future….

I’d love to see the Raiders swing back with their second pick (No. 36 overall) to grab a receiver or O-lineman to give Mendoza a stronger offensive supporting cast.

When I saw reports that the Jets canceled David Bailey’s top-30 visit, I interpreted that to mean they’ve already found their guy in Reese. There could be a learning curve for the hybrid defender, but his upside is special.

This one doesn’t feel set to me, with OT Francis Mauigoa looking like another possible option, while trading down would, I’d think, be the ultimate dream. But Bailey would add another rush threat to what should be a terrific Cardinals front.

Is that blockbuster deal a sign of things to come on Thursday night in Pittsburgh? I think some activity will happen when the picks start flying, but I don’t have a strong feeling about what those specific moves will look like — so I’m playing my final mock draft of 2026 straight and not projecting any trades. I also know this might not be the most talent-laden Round 1 of all time, but plenty of interesting developments could unfold. Here’s a reasonable guess as to how it might all play out.Programming note: Tune in for live coverage of Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft beginning at 8 p.m. ET on April 23 on NFL Network, NFL+, the NFL Channel, ABC, ESPN and ESPN Deportes.Pick1Las Vegas Raiders Fernando MendozaIndiana · QB · Junior (RS)I’d love to see the Raiders swing back with their second pick (No. 36 overall) to grab a receiver or O-lineman to give Mendoza a stronger offensive supporting cast. Pick2New York Jets Arvell ReeseOhio State · LB/Edge · JuniorWhen I saw reports that the Jets canceled David Bailey’s top-30 visit, I interpreted that to mean they’ve already found their guy in Reese.
