YouTube content creator Fred Beyer has been issued an indefinite ban from all NFL games and events after crashing the stage during the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh on April 24, 2026.

The incident occurred during the third round of the draft, when Beyer walked onto the stage and attempted to announce a selection for the Pittsburgh Steelers as if he were an official part of the proceedings.

To gain entry to the event, Beyer used a fake credential he created at Staples, which allowed him to pass through a staff entrance and reach the stage before security could intercept him.

Once on stage, Beyer managed to seize the microphone and begin the announcement by saying, with the 67th pick. Production staff cut the audio feed and security personnel stepped in shortly after.

Before being escorted off the stage, Beyer shouted that the Steelers had selected Luke Maxer.

The situation escalated further after Beyer was taken backstage for questioning. He reportedly provided security with a fake name, an action that prompted the staff to call the police.

Beyer was eventually escorted from the premises by law enforcement, though he noted that one officer requested a photo with him during the process.

The NFL responded to the breach with a formal letter delivered to Beyer, which he later shared in a video on his YouTube channel.

You are indefinitely banned from any NFL game or event. The ban is league-wide and will be enforced rigorously. Should you be found at any NFL game or event, law enforcement will be summoned and you will be arrested… We sincerely hope that you will take this opportunity to reflect on your actions.

Beyer explained that the stunt was motivated by a desire to troll former All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell. He claimed the prank was a response to Bell having ducked me in a 1-v-1 several months prior.

During the events of the evening, Beyer joked about the potential legal consequences, stating, Yeah, I’m going to jail tonight.

The disruption was witnessed by Steelers player Cam Heyward, who was on stage at the time. Heyward later joked about the encounter, asking, Should I have tackled him?
