Hollywood star Nicholas Hoult reveals a chilling moment on the set of the upcoming horror film “Nosferatu” where the line between acting and reality blurred.

The film, a reimagining of the classic vampire tale, hits theaters nationwide on December 25th. Hoult, known for his roles in films like “The Favorite” and “Mad Max: Fury Road,” stars as Thomas Hutter, a young man who travels to Transylvania and encounters the terrifying Count Orlok.

During a particularly intense scene involving a wolf chase, Hoult found himself genuinely terrified. “While filming,I was running from wolves and I was genuinely scared,” Hoult confessed. “For a moment, I forgot I was acting.”

The intensity of the scene stemmed from the use of real wolves on set. “As the crew prepared to film, they had to restrain the wolves from getting too close,” Hoult explained. “I was running around trying to get into character, and the only thing separating me from them were ropes. I was terrified of their gaze.”

Hoult recounted a particularly harrowing moment where he barely escaped through a window as the wolves pursued him. “The shot was unusable,” Hoult laughed. “Director Robert Eggers told me I made a silly face, but I swear it was real fear!”
