Nick Cannon Opens Up About His Narcissistic Personality Disorder Diagnosis
Nick Cannon, the host of The Masked Singer, recently spoke about his diagnosis of narcissistic personality disorder. He admitted that he does not fully understand this condition. According to the Mayo Clinic, this disorder causes individuals to have an inflated sense of their own importance and a strong need for admiration. People with this disorder often struggle to recognize the feelings of others.
Cannon, aged 44, mentioned that he has taken tests for this diagnosis. He has also been diagnosed with ADHD and has a history of dyslexia. He acknowledged that he has always known he is neurodivergent.
While serving meals at the Los Angeles Mission’s Thanksgiving event, Cannon expressed his views on mental health. He emphasized the importance of seeking help and embracing therapy. He stated, “I feel like there are so many labels out there, but to embrace it and say, ‘Look, I’m healing,’ is essential.”
His diagnosis was revealed during an episode of his podcast, Counsel Culture, on November 8. Cannon hopes to be a positive example for others while continuing his own healing journey.
