Venado is set ⁤to make a splash with the inaugural Night Aquatic post, a ⁢unique ‌swimming event launching on Friday, January 9th,⁣ at 8:00 PM. Held at the Municipal Park natatorium, this event marks an exciting addition to the 2026 “Summer in Venado” program,a broader initiative organized by the ‍Ministry of Territoriality and Cultural Development through its ⁤Sports Directorate.

What to Expect: The night aquatic Post isn’t just a race; it’s a community event designed ⁢for all ⁢skill levels.⁤ Whether you’re a seasoned ‌swimmer or just looking for a fun night ‌out, there’s a lane for you.

Two Ways to Participate

The event features two distinct relay formats, catering to both competitive athletes and those ⁣seeking a more relaxed experience. ⁣⁢ Both relays ‌will take⁣ place‍ in the 50-meter pool.

Competitive Relay

For serious⁣ swimmers, the ‍competitive relay demands endurance and‍ teamwork. Teams of six will race⁤ for 30 continuous‌ minutes, with the winning team steadfast by the ⁣greatest total distance covered. This is a test of sustained‌ performance and strategic pacing.

Participatory relay

The participatory ‌relay offers a more inclusive experience. Teams can consist of ⁤any number‍ of swimmers and will ‍compete for 20 minutes. This format prioritizes fun⁤ and participation over strict competition.

According to Marcela Traverso, Director of Sports, the competitive relay will see teams strategically rotating swimmers to maximize their collective distance. “The team that covers the greatest number of meters in 30 minutes will be declared the winner,” she explained. The participatory relay, while also team-based, focuses on completing a 20-minute relay with no restrictions on ⁢team⁤ size.

“We’re ⁤thrilled to introduce the Night Aquatic post as ‌part of Summer in Venado. It’s a fantastic opportunity to promote aquatic sports and bring the community together.”

Registration for ⁣both ⁣relay formats is free and can be completed online via the official registration form. Don’t delay – spaces are limited!
