Nikki bella is setting the record straight regarding her role as a mother after a fan questioned how often her son, Matteo, sees her. The former WWE star took to Instagram to address the speculation,firmly defending her parenting choices and emphasizing that her decision to keep her child’s life private does not equate to absence.
Addressing the Double Standard
The comment, which asked if her son ever sees her, prompted a swift and pointed response from Bella. She highlighted a double standard she frequently encounters, noting that such questions are rarely directed at fathers.
“Wonder if you write that to Dads? And yes, he was with me 🙂 All week,” Bella responded. “Just because I don’t post him all the time doesn’t mean he isn’t with me. I try to keep as much as I can private for his sake. Thank you.”
Prioritizing Privacy Over Public Display
Bella further elaborated on her parenting ideology, explaining that matteo spends the majority of his time with her when she’s not traveling for work. She stressed that her social media presence is not an accurate reflection of the time she dedicates to her son and urged others to refrain from making assumptions based on online activity.
“So for all to see, my son is with me a lot. Majority of the week when I’m home,” she continued. “Every Tuesday when I land, I drive straight to get him. And drop off on Sundays when I leave.Sometimes I am gone longer, and his dad and I have a great co-parent system. He understands how much he needs his mommy.”
A Plea for Understanding
The reality star expressed her desire to protect Matteo’s privacy, acknowledging the occasional desire to share moments but advocating for a more restrained approach.
“I just choose not to post him all the time to protect his privacy. I wish it could be protected more,” bella stated. “I understand sharing certain moments every now and then,but not all the time.So please, no more comments like this. Maybe I shouldn’t have responded, but I was triggered as a small group of you think if your kid isn’t posted all the time, he isn’t with you.”
Since her divorce from artem Chigvintsev last year, Nikki Bella has remained dedicated to co-parenting Matteo and ensuring a stable and loving surroundings for him.
