Nipsey Hussle and Bino Rideaux to Release Posthumous Album ‘Prolific’ This Summer
A new album featuring previously unreleased material from the late Nipsey Hussle, in collaboration with Bino Rideaux, is slated for release this summer. The project, titled Prolific, was announced Friday, February 13, 2026, via the Marathon Clothing brand’s Instagram account.
The announcement came with the release of the first single from the album, “Reckless.” The song offers a glimpse into Nipsey’s evolving perspective, with lyrics reflecting a newfound understanding of his own impact: “Doubt who I was for a second, now I see it clearer and it is not a game.” Bino Rideaux contributes melodic verses, sharing his own reflections with lines like, “‘Cause I been off that soda, make it hard to sleep, it’s a lot on my shoulders.”
Nipsey Hussle and Bino Rideaux had a long-standing professional relationship, previously releasing the collaborative project No Pressure in 2017. That project featured tracks like “None of This” and “Blueprint” with Dave East, and it’s possible that some of the material on Prolific originated during those recording sessions.
The release of Prolific marks a continuation of the posthumous recognition of Nipsey Hussle’s artistry. Since his death on March 31, 2019, following a shooting outside his Marathon Clothing store, his music has continued to be released, and celebrated. Just two months after his passing, DJ Khaled released “Higher,” featuring Nipsey Hussle and John Legend. In 2021, Nipsey Hussle appeared on Jay-Z’s “What It Feels Like,” which was featured on the Judas and the Black Messiah soundtrack.
Prior to his death, Nipsey Hussle’s final solo release, “Racks in the Middle” featuring Roddy Ricch and Hit-Boy, earned him a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance in 2020, awarded posthumously. The upcoming album represents a significant addition to his musical legacy, offering fans new material from the acclaimed artist.
Prolific is expected to provide further insight into Nipsey Hussle’s creative process and artistic vision, continuing to honor his memory and impact on the music industry. The album is anticipated to arrive this summer, with “Reckless” serving as the initial offering to fans.
