The draw ceremony for the men’s tennis international team Davis Cup World Group 1 match between Japan and Colombia was held on the 13th, and attention was focused on former world number 4, Kei Nishikori, who will be playing in two singles matches and one doubles match.

Nishikori’s Return to Japan
This will be the first time the 34-year-old Nishikori will play in Japan in about three years and two months since the Tokyo Olympics (Japan/Tokyo, hard) in July 2021. However, the tournament was closed to the general public due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, if the match is held with spectators, it will be the first time in about six years since the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships 2018 (Japan/Tokyo, hard, ATP500) in October 2018.
