NITS/Teacher Graduate School Collaborative Training Program Project (NITS Café) “A community-wide disaster prevention education cafe with schools at its core”
(2024 Chabudai Next Generation Cohort (2nd and 3rd training sessions), Advanced Course (5th and 6th training sessions))
The Chabudai Next Generation Cohort is a collaborative teaching training and exchange project between “young teachers (full-time and temporary appointed teachers)” and “students aiming to enter the teaching profession,” which is now in its 18th year.
This year, from October 2020 to March 2020, the main venue will be the “Chabudai Room” in the Faculty of Education, Yamaguchi University, and lectures, exercises, experiential training, and social gatherings will be held approximately once a month. By conducting lecture exercises and peer support aimed at enriching and deepening educational guidance in schools and communities and solving various educational issues, we will improve the qualifications and abilities of teachers, improve their ability to solve practical problems in the teaching profession, and improve their reflection. We aim to foster strength, etc.
In addition, at the NITS Café, people involved in teaching graduate schools, boards of education, current teachers, local communities, etc. gather together and have discussions in a cafe format, with the aim of nurturing future creators of a sustainable society. We aim to improve the qualifications and abilities required of teachers who can contribute to the world of society, and to enrich and deepen our teaching practices.
