Noah Donohoe Inquest: Witness Initially Thought Naked Cyclist Was a Prank
A witness told an inquest she initially believed a naked cyclist was playing a prank, before realizing it was 14-year-old Noah Donohoe.The inquest into Donohoe’s death is currently in its second week at Belfast Coroner’s Court.
Kerry Fraser, in a statement read to the court on Thursday, January 25, 2024, described seeing Donohoe cycling naked on Northwood Road in north Belfast the evening he went missing. She stated, “He was totally naked.”
Fraser initially thought the cyclist was an intoxicated man engaging in a Father’s Day prank.She observed he “did not appear to be distressed, although he was cycling quickly.”
Shortly after, Fraser discovered a pile of Donohoe’s clothing nearby: grey shorts, white boxers in the street, a jumper over a wall, adn a pair of trainers “placed neatly against the wall.”
Noah Donohoe was found dead in a water culvert in north Belfast on June 27, 2020, six days after leaving his home on his bike to meet friends in the Cavehill area. He had been reported missing on June 21, 2020.
Following the revelation of Donohoe’s clothing, Fraser learned of a public appeal regarding his disappearance and instructed her son to contact the police.
