Rising ​soccer star Noah ⁤fadiga is ‍speaking out for teh first time as undergoing a procedure⁣ to implant a defibrillator, a device that can ‌deliver an electric shock⁤ to restart​ a heart in case of a life-threatening arrhythmia. The 20-year-old midfielder,who plays for Belgian club KV Mechelen,collapsed on the field during a match last month,sending shockwaves through the soccer world.

“It was a scary moment,” Fadiga said in an exclusive interview. “But I’m feeling much better now. The doctors have been ‍amazing, and ‍I’m grateful for ⁤the support I’ve received from my family, friends, and ‍teammates.”

Fadiga’s ‌father,former ‌Senegalese international Khalilou Fadiga,also experienced a heart scare during his‍ playing career. ‍He was diagnosed with a heart condition in 2003 and underwent surgery, but was able⁢ to return to the field and continue playing professionally.

“My father’s experience gave me ‍strength,” Noah Fadiga said. “He showed me that its possible to ‍overcome these challenges and⁤ come back stronger.I’m steadfast to do‌ the same.”
