Rising soccer star Noah fadiga is speaking out for teh first time as undergoing a procedure to implant a defibrillator, a device that can deliver an electric shock to restart a heart in case of a life-threatening arrhythmia. The 20-year-old midfielder,who plays for Belgian club KV Mechelen,collapsed on the field during a match last month,sending shockwaves through the soccer world.
“It was a scary moment,” Fadiga said in an exclusive interview. “But I’m feeling much better now. The doctors have been amazing, and I’m grateful for the support I’ve received from my family, friends, and teammates.”
Fadiga’s father,former Senegalese international Khalilou Fadiga,also experienced a heart scare during his playing career. He was diagnosed with a heart condition in 2003 and underwent surgery, but was able to return to the field and continue playing professionally.
“My father’s experience gave me strength,” Noah Fadiga said. “He showed me that its possible to overcome these challenges and come back stronger.I’m steadfast to do the same.”

The young athlete’s recovery is ongoing, and it remains unclear when he will be able to return to competitive play. However, Fadiga remains optimistic about his future.
“I’m taking things one day at a time,” he said. “My focus right now is on getting healthy and strong. I miss playing soccer, but I know I have to be patient. I’m confident that I’ll be back on the field soon.”
