Noel Edmonds Finds New Life and Kiwi Adventure in New Zealand

former “Deal or no Deal” host Noel Edmonds, 76, has embraced a new chapter in New Zealand, drawn by the land’s beauty and the people’s spirit. Edmonds and his wife, Liz, relocated in 2018 and now operate a hospitality business in the rural town of Ngatimoti on the South island.
edmonds’ passion for the New Zealand countryside inspired the ITV series, “Noel Edmonds’ kiwi Adventure.” the show offers viewers a glimpse into his life and entrepreneurial endeavors in his adopted homeland. He said the scenery is magical, and even after six years, he and his wife still find themselves in awe of the landscape.
Initially settling north of Auckland, Edmonds and his wife later sought a quieter environment on the South Island. They bought land near Ngatimoti and established a business featuring a vineyard, coffee cart, general store, restaurant and pub. the series follows their preparations for the second season,highlighting the challenges of Edmonds’ entrepreneurial spirit.
One such challenge is building New Zealand’s first community energy garden. Unseasonal weather, negative publicity, and the feeling of being an outsider add to the complexity of the project. Despite these hurdles, Edmonds embraces the challenge.
He noted the intensity of New Zealand’s weather patterns, from powerful storms to intense sunshine and even earthquakes. Edmonds is also committed to ethical and regenerative farming practices, aiming to live in harmony with the natural environment and address river pollution issues.
Edmonds admires the Kiwi attitude of “give it a go,” their resourcefulness, and their sociable nature. He appreciates their ability to enjoy life and not take themselves to seriously. He also fondly recalls the kindness shown by locals during a flu outbreak, which solidified his appreciation for the community spirit.
“Sometimes I struggle to explain why I’m so excited about this Kiwi adventure,” muses Edmonds. “It comes down to the land – the look, the feel of it. We have a lovely home,and in the morning,we wake up to a view of the mountains.”
Edmonds acknowledged a personal motivation for returning to television. he said people still ask if he is still alive.He affirms that he is still here and living life to the fullest.
