Parents have voiced concerns, stating that attempts to discuss the fee hike with school administrators have been met with resistance.

One parent, who requested anonymity, stated, “We see a 10% fee increase every year at DPS 122 without adequate explanation or prior notice. With ongoing infrastructure construction, the necessity of thes hikes is questionable.” The parent added, “The school often cites ‘smart school’ status and air-conditioned classrooms, but these features are common in many schools. Our respect for the DPS name is being tested.”
Another parent representative said the delegation raised concerns about administrative and educational issues, including the high cost and poor quality of school supplies and uniforms, changes to uniform colors, and inadequate management of cultural events.
