Nongshim hosted a brand campaign featuring an oversized Shin Ramyun cup sculpture along London’s River Thames on the evening of October 6 local time, the company announced on October 7.
Journey Along London Landmarks
The approximately six-meter-tall cup sculpture started its journey on the afternoon of October 6 from London’s Royal Docks and traveled along the River Thames toward the London Eye and Big Ben. The sculpture passed through prominent London locations such as Tower Bridge, the London Eye, and Southbank, areas visited by more than 38 million people annually, to introduce the Shin Ramyun brand to tourists and local residents.
To capture attention, the sculpture incorporated various effects resembling actual Shin Ramyun. It featured nighttime lighting, large chopsticks, and steam rising as if hot ramen were actually inside.
Nongshim Promotes Shin Ramyun as a Way to Relieve Stress
Through this campaign, Nongshim delivered the message Work done. Day done. SHIN ME,
encouraging people to relieve stress with Shin Ramyun in their own space after work, while sharing spicy happiness with global consumers visiting London. A Nongshim official stated, The Thames is a symbolic space where the daily lives of London citizens and world-class landmarks harmonize,
adding that the company plans to provide British consumers with a new brand experience of enjoying relaxation with Shin Ramyun after a busy day.

The back of the sculpture also promoted SHIN TO WIN,
an ongoing consumer promotion in the United Kingdom. Running for about 12 weeks from August 10 to October 31, the promotion places scratch coupons inside Shin Ramyun multipacks sold at national retail stores including Tesco, B&M, and Sainsbury’s to award prize money to winners.
