Interview with the Creators and Stars of “6 Months” on “With You, Mona El Shazli”
Today, the dynamic creators and stars of the trending series “6 Months” took the stage on the popular talk show “With You, Mona El Shazli” to discuss their comedic portrayal of real estate salespeople and the personal stories behind their characters.
Mona El Shazli: Welcome, everyone! “6 Months” is currently captivating a large audience with its humorous take on the lives of real estate agents. Let’s start with you, Mustafa Mahmoud. You mentioned feeling antisocial during your childhood. How did that shape your role in the series?
Mustafa Mahmoud: Thank you, Mona. Yes, as a child, I was quite the introvert, which led to my teacher nicknaming me “Lesha.” This nickname stuck with me, and I think it influenced how I approach characters and stories. In “6 Months,” I’ve channeled those early experiences into my character, bringing a sense of authenticity to the portrayals of our cast.
Mona El Shazli: That’s fascinating! Noor Ehab, your character Latifah has resonated with many young girls. Can you elaborate on her story?
Noor Ehab: Absolutely, Mona. Latifah is a reflection of the struggles many young women face today. She navigates life feeling neglected, especially influenced by her parents’ painful separation. Her journey in an unfamiliar workplace really embodies the challenges and resilience of young girls trying to find their footing.
Mona El Shazli: A deeply relatable character, indeed. Moving on to you, Marwan Fares, how does your character Ronnie differ from your real-life persona?
Marwan Fares: Ronnie is quite the departure for me. While I consider myself quite laid-back, Ronnie is a character filled with quirks and complexities that make him endearing yet challenging. It’s enjoyable, allowing me to step outside my comfort zone and engage with an entirely different personality.
Mona El Shazli: That must be fun to explore! Noor Al-Nabawi, you play Murad, a serious character. How does that contrast with who you are?
Noor Al-Nabawi: I love life, and I’m generally quite organized. Murad, on the other hand, is serious and often caught up in his own head. Playing someone so opposite to myself has been a rewarding challenge, showcasing my versatility as an actor. It also adds a layer of humor, given my more relaxed approach to life.
Mona El Shazli: It sounds like you all have richly layered roles that really add depth to the series. Congratulations on the success of “6 Months” — your combined talents are surely a factor in its high viewership. Thank you for sharing your insights with us today!
Mustafa Mahmoud, Noor Ehab, Marwan Fares, Noor Al-Nabawi: Thank you, Mona! It’s been a pleasure.
Actor and content creator Marwan Fares stated that Ronnie, his character, is very different from him. Noor Al-Nabawi mentioned that he is highly organized, unlike his character, Murad, who is serious. Al-Nabawi expressed that he enjoys life, showing a contrast between his personality and Murad’s.
