Norfolk Jar Kitchen Wins Big at EDP Business Awards
Snettisham, Norfolk – Local confectionery business Norfolk Jar Kitchen has been named “Growth Business of the Year” at the prestigious EDP Business Awards. The award recognizes the company’s remarkable growth trajectory, commitment to inclusivity, and dedication to providing high-quality, affordable treats for families.
Owner Charlotte Ward, a mother of two children with allergies, founded norfolk Jar Kitchen after identifying a gap in the market for delicious and accessible treats for those with dietary restrictions.”I wanted to create a brand that everyone coudl enjoy, regardless of allergies or dietary needs,” Ward said.
Since its inception, Norfolk Jar Kitchen has experienced remarkable growth. Starting with just 25 stockists, the company now supplies its hand-packaged products and home-made baking mixes to 81 stores across the UK. This expansion has allowed Norfolk Jar Kitchen to invest in eco-pleasant packaging and create new jobs, employing two additional staff members.
The judges were particularly impressed by Norfolk Jar Kitchen’s commitment to inclusivity. “It’s a great exhibition of inclusivity for families with food allergies, so that no one has to go without fabulous treats, and no parents have to have the stress of finding allergy-friendly foods that are affordable and easy to source,” they remarked.
Ward expressed her delight at winning the award, stating, “Being a finalist for business growth alone was a great achievement for my rapidly growing business, but to have won is another level. We’re on cloud nine!”
Looking ahead, Ward has ambitious plans for Norfolk Jar Kitchen. The company aims to launch an online store in 2025 and expand its reach to 50 stockists.
