Norristown Teens Arrested in Fatal Shooting
Two teenage boys from Norristown, pa., have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 20-year-old Tahaj Andru Harrison last month, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney.
Kaleem Roland, 16, was arrested June 4, and Naseem Worrell, 17, was arrested Saturday, June 7.Both face charges of first-degree murder, third-degree murder, and related offenses.
Harrison was found May 23 with a gunshot wound to the chest in the rear yard of his home on the 600 block of Corson street and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Investigators determined the shooting was a targeted killing linked to an ongoing conflict between two groups: the Grimy Boys/6’s, to which Harrison belonged, and the All Black Bandits/300s, of which Worrell was a member.
Detectives uncovered Instagram messages exchanged hours before the shooting between Harrison and worrell, discussing the feud and recent violence. Surveillance video showed Roland, Worrell, and a third individual walking on Corson Street and firing shots at Harrison before fleeing, officials said.
Authorities said the trio fled to a residence on Oak Street, then to another location in Norristown, before taking an Uber to Delaware County. Roland allegedly ordered the Uber.
The examination into the Norristown shooting is ongoing, and police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the third suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact Montgomery county Detectives at 610-278-3386 or Norristown Police at 610-270-0977.
