North Dakota Seeks Public Input on 2025-2027 Medicaid Quality Strategy
North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) invites public comment on the draft of the 2025-2027 North Dakota Medicaid Quality Strategy. This three-year plan outlines efforts to assess and improve the quality of care provided by the state’s Medicaid programs. The strategy aims to support the overall health and well-being of Medicaid members.
Sarah Aker, Director of the HHS Medical Services Division, stated, “This strategy supports our vision to make North Dakota the healthiest state in the nation.” The plan serves as a framework to measure Medicaid programs against federal quality standards. The goal is to enhance health outcomes for members.
The draft strategy is available online at hhs.nd.gov/healthcare/medicaid/publications. Interested parties can request copies as well.

After the comment period, HHS will submit the final strategy to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for review.
North Dakota Medicaid provides health care coverage to eligible adults, children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with disabilities. The program is funded jointly by state and federal governments. States administer Medicaid based on federal rules.
