He claimed these troops have already suffered “considerable” losses in the Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces launched a recent incursion.
Zelensky warned that Russia may deploy these troops to other areas along the front lines. He accused Russian President Vladimir putin of escalating the conflict and hindering peace efforts.
“It is Putin who is taking steps that expand and prolong this war,” Zelensky said. “He is the one who is pushing back the possibility of peace. And he wants the world to have more problems in Asia as well, teaching North Korea how to wage a modern war.”
