Durham secured a 16-run victory over Derbyshire in T20 Blast action, while Yorkshire defeated nottinghamshire by
nine runs. For Derbyshire, it marked their fifth loss in as many games. Northamptonshire, meanwhile, remains
undefeated in the tournament.
Ollie Robinson’s explosive 70 off 46 balls, a T20 best, propelled Durham to 168-6 at Chester-le-Street. He
partnered with Colin Ackermann, who contributed 33, for an 84-run stand. Despite a swift start from aneurin
Donald and Caleb Jewell, Derbyshire’s batting faltered, losing wickets consistently. Jewell’s 33 and Wayne
Madsen’s 37 kept Derbyshire in contention, but Ben Raine’s 3-21 sealed the win for Durham.
Yorkshire’s Jack White celebrated his debut with a T20-best 4-33, guiding his team to consecutive wins as they
defeated Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands. Malan’s third straight half-century provided Yorkshire with a
strong start at Trent Bridge, hitting 7 fours and 3 sixes in his 58-run innings from 28 balls.
Malan and Adam Lyth (29) combined for an opening stand of 83.Nottinghamshire managed to restrict yorkshire to
175-8, thanks to Daniel Sams, Liam Patterson-White, and Dillon Pennington, who each took two wickets. However,
Nottinghamshire’s chase stumbled early as White dismissed Lyndon James and Jack Haynes for no score in the first
over.
Joe Clarke’s 50 and freddie McCann’s 31 revived Nottinghamshire’s hopes, but daniel Sams’ dismissal, caught and
bowled by Dom Bess while attempting a six, secured Yorkshire’s victory.
“With the ball I tried just to put it on a good length and got a bit of luck,” said White.
“It has been a really enjoyable first season here for me so far and hopefully we can get some more wins and move
up the table in all formats.”
