Pig prices today (September 18) have increased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg across the North, Central Highlands, and South, with prices fluctuating between 62,000 – 67,000 VND/kg.
In the North
The price of live pigs in the North has increased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg, with prices trading in the range of 65,000 – 67,000 VND/kg.
Traders in Bac Giang, Hung Yen, and Phu Tho are purchasing live pigs at 67,000 VND/kg, equal to the price in Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, and Hanoi, which is the highest price in the region.
Ha Nam traders are purchasing live pigs at 66,000 VND/kg, equal to the price in Yen Bai, Vinh Phuc, and Tuyen Quang.
Lao Cai, Ha Nam, and Ninh Binh traders are buying live pigs at 65,000 VND/kg, which is the lowest price in the region.
In the Central Highlands Region
Today’s live pig price in the Central Highlands region has increased by 1,000 – 2,000 VND/kg, with prices fluctuating between 63,000 – 66,000 VND/kg.
Nghe An traders are purchasing live pigs at 66,000 VND/kg, equal to the price in Thanh Hoa, which is the highest price in the region.
Dak Lak traders are purchasing live pigs at 64,000 VND/kg, equal to the price in Binh Thuan, Ha Tinh, and Quang Binh.
Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan traders are purchasing live pigs at 63,000 VND/kg, equal to the price in Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, and Lam Dong, which is the lowest price in the region.
In the Southern Region
Today’s live pig price in the Southern region has also increased, with prices fluctuating between 62,000 – 65,000 VND/kg.
Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, and Dong Thap traders are purchasing live pigs at 65,000 VND/kg, which is the highest price in the region.
Binh Phuoc and Ho Chi Minh City traders are purchasing live pigs at 64,000 VND/kg, equal to the price in Vinh Long and Can Tho.
Tra Vinh traders are purchasing live pigs at 63,000 VND/kg, equal to the price in Long An, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Ben Tre, and Soc Trang.
Tien Giang traders are purchasing live pigs at 62,000 VND/kg, which is the lowest price in the region.
In general, the price of live pigs today continues to increase across all three regions, with the Northern market holding the highest transaction price in the country, ranging from 62,000 - 67,000 VND/kg.
