Nothing has begun rolling out the stable version of Nothing OS 3.0, based on Android 15, after months of beta testing. The major update first arrives on the Nothing Phone (2) and Nothing Phone (2a),promising a host of new features and improvements.

The rollout will be gradual throughout December, with some users perhaps waiting until the end of the year to receive the Android 15-based update.Impatient owners can manually check for availability by going to Settings > System Update.

AI-Powered Smart Drawer: The Smart Drawer automatically categorizes apps into thematic folders like Travel, Health & Fitness, and Social Media, leveraging the power of artificial intelligence for a more organized experience.
New Countdown Widget: A visually distinctive countdown widget, true to Nothing’s design aesthetic, is introduced and will soon be available on the Play Store.
Enhanced Fast Settings: Quick settings are optimized with improved widget size control and new layouts.
Typography and Performance Improvements: The system-wide typography has been refined,accompanied by enhanced readability controls. Nothing promises visual and performance enhancements for a smoother user experience.
While Nothing Phone (1), Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, and CMF Phone 1 users will have to wait until early 2025 for the update, some features, like Shared Widgets, will remain exclusive to Nothing smartphones. Currently, only photo widget sharing is available, with other shareable widget types planned for future releases.
