Nvidia’s Blackwell Architecture Powers Next-Gen Cloud Gaming

GeForce Now is undergoing a significant overhaul, leveraging Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture to deliver substantial improvements in graphics, visual fidelity, and responsiveness. This upgrade introduces access to Nvidia’s RTX 5080 hardware, initially launched earlier this year, bringing the benefits of DLSS 4 to cloud gaming.

Enhanced Streaming Performance

The integration of Blackwell and RTX 5080 unlocks notable streaming capabilities. GeForce Now users can now experience gameplay at 5K resolution with a smooth 120 frames per second. For those with compatible hardware, streaming at 1080p is possible at up to 360 fps.Nvidia is targeting sub-30-millisecond network latency for a more responsive gaming experience.

Visual and Network Improvements

Beyond raw performance, the update focuses on visual quality and network efficiency. Nvidia is implementing support for the YUV color model and 10-bit HDR,promising improved color accuracy. The service will also utilize AV1 encoders, enabling faster and more reliable network connections, now supporting streaming speeds of up to 100Mbps.

Expanding Game Library and cloud storage

GeForce Now’s game library is rapidly expanding, with over 2,200 Steam games already available and plans to exceed 4,500 titles. this growth includes both “ómico-play” titles, allowing users to add games they own to the streaming service.

Ultimate and Performance members will receive 100GB of single-session cloud storage for this purpose, with additional storage available for a fee.

Membership and Rollout Details

The GeForce Now membership structure remains unchanged.the Ultimate tier continues to be priced at $19.99 per month, while the Performance tier is available for $9.99 per month. the rollout of these updates is scheduled to begin in September.
