Rodas also expressed the emotional toll of the situation.
“I’ve been at her bedside every day, and some days, all I can do is cry,” Rodas continued. “People keep telling me to be strong for her, but it’s hard when all I want is just one more hug from my mom. I miss her deeply…her 45th birthday is coming up, and I keep praying that she’ll wake up before then, so we can celebrate it together the way we always have.”
Rodas described the past month as a nightmare, longing for her mother’s recovery.
“I often find myself wondering what she’s thinking…I just wish there was more I could do. It feels like nothing I do is ever enough, because enough will only be when I see her smile again or hear her say ‘I love you’ one more time.So for now, I pray,” Rodas wrote.
