Brooklyn NYPD Vehicle Fire: arson Investigation Underway

An arson investigation is underway in Brooklyn after at least eight new York Police Department vehicles were intentionally set ablaze early Thursday.Six marked and two unmarked cars parked in a fenced lot near the 83rd Precinct stationhouse sustained damage in the incident at Central and DeKalb avenues, according to sources with direct knowledge of the investigation.
Firefighters responded to reports of multiple vehicle fires around 1:30 a.m. and quickly extinguished the flames.No injuries were reported.
Incendiary devices were discovered near some of the vehicles, sources said. Authorities are currently searching for two suspects in connection with the Brooklyn NYPD vehicle fire.
The incident occurs amid ongoing demonstrations against the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policies across the country, including New York City. While local protests have remained largely peaceful,it remains unclear whether the vehicle fires are connected to the unrest. The investigation into the Brooklyn NYPD vehicle fire is ongoing.
