Obituary of Robin Jane Bennion (1955-2026)
Robin Jane Bennion passed away on September 25, 2026, in the early morning hours, according to an obituary published by Larkin Mortuary. Born on June 30, 1955, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Bennion lived a life characterized by artistic pursuits, adventurous travel, and a notable sense of humor, leaving behind a wide circle of family and friends.
Early Life and Education Across Utah and Massachusetts
Bennion spent her formative years attending primary and secondary schools in East Millcreek and Sudbury Massachusetts, before eventually graduating from Skyline High School in Salt Lake City. Following secondary school, she pursued higher education at the University of Utah and later attended the London College in England. Throughout her youth and education, she established a reputation among her classmates and peers for inspiring whimsy and creativity.
A Lifelong Passion for the Arts and Adventure
Active in multiple artistic mediums, Bennion worked in acting, costuming, painting pictures and murals, and writing a published novel as a voracious reader. Her family noted that her eye for detail showed in every costume, painting, or craft she produced. As a big sister, she frequently organized plays and parades, dressing others in costumes and winning awards for her floats. Family members also recalled her adventurous spirit—including cross-country road trips in a station wagon packed with six children, a couple of cousin-neighbors, and two dogs—alongside family travels to Europe, Canada, and Northern California, accompanied by her frequent encounters with law enforcement due to a heavy foot on the accelerator.

Bennion is survived by her son, Ben, and her siblings: Gray, joined by his wife Brenda; Kari, joined by her husband Bill; Brooke, joined by her husband Bob; and Wood, joined by his wife Nevenka. She is also survived by a special niece, Tatum, along with Riley, and many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
