Abdul Khan Named CEO of Ochsner River Region

Ochsner Health has appointed Abdul Khan, MD, as the new chief executive officer of Ochsner River Region. the proclamation was made June 5.
In his new role as CEO, Dr. Khan will be responsible for overseeing operations at several Ochsner facilities in Louisiana.These include Ochsner Medical Center-Kenner,Ochsner Medical Complex-River Parishes in LaPlace,and St. Charles Parish Hospital in Luling.
Dr. Khan’s history with Ochsner began in 2008 when he joined as an internal medicine resident. After a period away, he returned in 2015 as a pulmonary disease and critical care physician. He has since held various leadership positions, most recently serving as regional medical director of South Shore community hospitals and the Bayou region.
Ochsner health is a large healthcare system, operating 46 hospitals and over 370 health and urgent care centers.
