An innovative jewelry exhibition featuring pieces made from recycled and biomaterials will be held from March 24-27 at the National University of Costa Rica (UNA) in Heredia.
The exhibition, titled Warriors of Time, is being held in conjunction with the V International Congress of Urban Geography and the II Regional Congress in Earth and Sea Sciences. The collection focuses on urban design and sustainability.

The pieces in Time Warriors are created from materials previously used in other collections. These collections have been showcased at the Ibero-American Design Biennial (IDB) in Madrid, Spain, and are known for their enduring design approach, incorporating materials from sectors like health, agriculture, technology, and textile recycling.

- ACQUATIC@ FLEX (2022) – flexible PVC tubes and aluminum wire (industrial sector).
- SILICON ►TICO (2024) – Microchips and technological components in disuse (technological sector).

These past projects provided the foundation for the 16 unique pieces in Time Warriors. The collection pays tribute to influential women of Latin America and extends the life cycle of the materials, weaving them into a visual narrative with ethical, environmental, and cultural importance.
Each piece is inspired by women from 13 countries in Latin America and Europe, recognizing their impact on science, art, culture, politics, the surroundings, and collective memory.

Materials and Methodology
The jewelry incorporates recycled and biomaterial elements, including vaccine caps, palm fibers, photoluminescent pigments, recycled denim, glass, PVC, and biomaterials derived from potatoes and banana raquis.
