Bad Rodach students to stage Musical on Tolerance
BAD RODACH, Germany (AP) — Students from the elementary and middle school in Bad Rodach, in collaboration with the “Whirlwind” lunch program, are preparing to present their latest production, “Felicitas Kunterbunt.” The musical addresses contemporary issues such as bullying, exclusion, diversity, tolerance, and mutual respect, aligning with the school’s theme for the year: “Our school is colorful.”
The play centers on a group of dolls and stuffed animals living harmoniously in a toy chest until the arrival of Felicitas, a character who is vibrant, unconventional, and, as an inevitable result, ostracized. When the magician Rabador places a magical lock on the chest, the toys realise that cooperation and friendship are the only means to find the key. Felicitas and detective Franz Findig then embark on a global adventure, encountering pirates, a wise dragon, and other characters. The story ultimately underscores the message that unity makes us strong.
Approximately 90 students from the first through sixth grades, along with their dedicated supervisors, anticipate an excited audience. The production aims to convey a critically important message through poignant dialog and memorable musical numbers.
