Rapper Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, has been released from a Florida hospital following a shooting on April 6, 2026. The 34-year-old artist was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in the valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

A spokesperson for the rapper confirmed on April 10, 2026, that Offset had been discharged and was up and walking. The spokesperson expressed gratitude toward the medical staff at Memorial Regional Hospital, where the artist was treated.

The Seminole Police Department reported that the shooting occurred around 7 p.m. On April 6. According to police, the incident began with a fight in the valet area of the casino.

Authorities detained two individuals at the scene. One of those individuals was rapper Lil Tjay, who was taken to Broward County Jail. Lil Tjay was charged with disorderly conduct and traffic violations; he was released the following day.

While Lil Tjay was detained in connection with the event, his lawyer, Dawn M. Florio, denied his involvement in the shooting. Florio described the accusations as rumors and stated on Instagram that Lil Tjay had not been shot nor charged with any shooting.

The conflict began after Tjay claimed during a livestream that Offset was addicted to gambling and owed him money. Reports indicate that upon his release from the Broward County Jail, Lil Tjay referred to Offset as a rat.

The shooting occurred approximately three years after a similar event in November 2022, when Offset’s cousin and fellow Migos member, Takeoff, was killed in a shooting at a bowling alley in Houston. Since that event, fellow Migos member Quavo has campaigned against gun violence.
