Bobcats Fall too Drexel in Tight Dual Meet
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Ohio wrestling team (1-2) battled hard but ultimately fell to the Drexel Dragons 26-16 in a dual meet Tuesday evening (Dec. 17) in Philadelphia.
Despite the loss, the Bobcats showcased impressive individual performances, securing victories in four weight classes.
Redshirt sophomore Derek Raike (Point pleasant, W.Va.) kicked off the scoring for Ohio with a dominant 9-2 decision over Dominic Findora in the 149-pound class.Redshirt junior Peyten Kellar (Cutler, Ohio) followed suit, adding to the Bobcats’ momentum with an 8-3 decision over Luke Nichter in the 157-pound class.
two standout performances highlighted the evening for Ohio. Redshirt junior Garrett Thompson (Murrysville, Pa.) delivered a commanding 15-0 technical fall over Jack Janda in the 174-pound class, while redshirt senior Jordan Greer (Avon, Ohio) overwhelmed Dominic petracci with a decisive 19-4 technical fall in the heavyweight class.
“We saw some great individual efforts tonight,” said Ohio head coach Joel Greenlee. “Derek, Peyten, Garrett, and Jordan all wrestled exceptionally well. We need to build on these performances and work on consistency across the lineup.”

Bobcats Claw Back but Fall to Drexel in Tight Contest
Philadelphia, Pa. – Despite a valiant effort, the Ohio Bobcats wrestling team (1-2) couldn’t overcome the Drexel Dragons, falling 26-16 in a hard-fought dual meet Tuesday evening.
While the team result favored Drexel, Ohio showcased individual brilliance in several weight classes. Highlighting the evening were commanding technical fall victories by redshirt junior garrett Thompson (174 lbs) with a 15-0 win over Jack Janda and redshirt senior Jordan Greer (heavyweight) who dominated Dominic Petracci with a decisive 19-4 score.
Adding to Ohio’s success were redshirt sophomore Derek Raike (149 lbs) who secured a 9-2 decision over Dominic Findora and redshirt junior Peyten Kellar (157 lbs) who defeated Luke Nichter 8-3.
