Oli Leyland’s promising season with the Warrington Wolves has been abruptly halted. The half-back sustained a serious knee injury,specifically an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear,during Friday’s game against Hull Kingston Rovers,ending his 2025 Super League campaign.
Leyland, 24, joined Warrington this season from the London Broncos. After a breakthrough year with the Broncos, based in Wimbledon, he quickly earned five appearances for the Wolves. However, opportunities were limited following Marc Sneyd’s arrival from Salford Red Devils.
Despite limited game time, Leyland also played a single game for Widnes in April.He delivered a notable performance against Wigan Warriors at this month’s Magic Weekend, just before his injury.
