Oliver Pocher Sheds 30 Pounds with Weight-Loss Injection

German comedian Oliver Pocher, known for his frequently enough-provocative humor, has revealed a more serious side, discussing his recent weight loss in his talk show “Hey Olli!”. Pocher credits a weight-loss injection for helping him lose 14 kilograms, approximately 30 pounds.
Pocher’s Weight Loss Journey
In “Hey Olli!”, Pocher shared his decision to use a weight-loss injection. He admitted to previously mocking his father’s weight-loss attempts but now finds himself in a similar situation. “25 years later, you stand there – without having realy overeaten – adn suddenly you have an eight before your weight,” Pocher said. At 1.70 meters (approximately 5’7”),his weight of 80 to 86 kilograms (176 to 190 pounds) placed him slightly in the overweight category according to the Body Mass Index (BMI).
Openly Addressing Weight Concerns
Pocher stated he has also adjusted his diet, eliminating energy drinks and increasing his physical activity. “I changed my diet, no longer drink energy drinks and do more sports because I feel better in my body again,” Pocher said. He intends to discontinue the injections soon, aiming to maintain his weight through lifestyle changes. “I would then like to stop the syringe promptly and try to keep my weight that way. I don’t want to take her endlessly,” he stated.
The Costs and Risks
The weight-loss injection costs around 360 euros (approximately $390 USD) per month. Pocher acknowledged the expense but noted, “On the other hand, I have to say: I went out less of food for that. And of course it’s an investment in health.”
Dr. Jan Brünsing, appearing on “Hey Olli!”, highlighted potential risks and side effects. “There is a prescription drug. In up to one percent of cases, it can cause pancreatic inflammation or increase the galley rate.” Brünsing also noted the medication is relatively new, lacking long-term studies.
Weight-Loss Injections in Hollywood
Pocher is not alone in using weight-loss injections.Numerous celebrities, particularly in Hollywood, have displayed meaningful weight loss recently. While some deny using drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy, others, such as Meghan Trainor, have been more obvious about their use.
