Egyptian soccer sensation Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed has shut down rumors swirling around a recent hand injury, clarifying that it was an accident and not the result of a fight with a teammate.

The Al-Ahly midfielder sustained the injury during a training session on Wednesday, requiring four stitches. Speculation quickly spread online, suggesting a dispute with a fellow player had led to the incident.

Kamal explained that the injury occurred after training when he slipped in the shower, cutting his palm. He received prompt medical attention and was back home within minutes.

“I’m not a fan of problems, I’m not a fan of social media, and I don’t respond to any criticism or rumors,” Kamal added. “My relationship is vrey good with all my colleagues in the team, but there are people who like to quarrel and cause trouble.”

Al-Ahly officials corroborated Kamal’s account, confirming the injury was accidental and denying any conflict between players. They also stated that Kamal is expected to resume training on Friday.

With the injury behind him, kamal is now focused on Al-Ahly’s upcoming match against Algeria’s CS Belouizdad on Sunday.
