Omega Association Moves to New Premises in Angoulême – A Hub of Solidarity
Angoulême’s OMEGA Association too Launch New Community Hub in 2026
Residents of Angoulême’s “ma Campagne” district will soon have a new resource for support and connection. The OMEGA association, a leading organization in social mediation, is preparing to open a new headquarters in March 2026, designed to be a welcoming and accessible space for all.
Cédric Jégou, Director of OMEGA, previewed the new premises to employees and partners on December 1, 2025, outlining a vision for the center as more than just an office – but a vital “third place” fostering social cohesion within the community. This concept, popularized by sociologist Ray Oldenburg, refers to spaces outside of home and work where people can gather and build relationships.
The new facility will offer a complete range of services, including neighborhood mediation, assistance with administrative tasks, guidance and orientation for those navigating complex systems, and outreach programs to connect with vulnerable populations. Dedicated time will also be available for individual listening and support. OMEGA, which partners with France Médiation, aims to be a single point of access for individuals facing hardship, providing both immediate help and pathways to longer-term solutions.
Beyond direct services, OMEGA plans to collaborate with local communities on projects addressing critical needs such as housing, healthcare, and integration. Collective activities are also planned to enhance the quality of life for residents. The association’s staff emphasize their commitment to building a more united and respectful city, one connection at a time.
This initiative reflects a growing recognition of the importance of community-based support systems in addressing social challenges and promoting well-being. The OMEGA association’s new headquarters promises to be a valuable asset to Angoulême, offering a space where residents can find help, build relationships, and thrive.
