From September 17 to 24, the 2024 Hangzhou Open (ATP250 event) will be held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Tennis Center (Xiaolianhua). In the list of participants that has been announced, Zhang Zhizhen, the silver medalist in the mixed doubles tennis at the Paris Olympics, and Wu Yibing, a Hangzhou guy who just won the men’s singles championship at the 2024 Jinan International Tennis Open, will both appear. The 2024 Hangzhou Open will feature a star-studded lineup: Andrei Rublev, ranked 6th in the world and a two-time ATP Masters 1000 champion; Zhang Zhizhen, the Hangzhou Asian Games men’s singles champion and Paris Olympic Games mixed doubles silver medalist; Holger Ruhne, ATP 1000 Paris Masters champion and real-time world No. 16; Wu Yibing, the first ATP Tour champion in mainland China’s men’s tennis and a local athlete in Hangzhou; Sebastian Korda, a 24-year-old rising star in tennis who just won the ATP 500 Washington Open in August; Karen Khachanov, a tough player who has reached the quarterfinals in the four Grand Slams of French Open, Wimbledon, US Open and Australian Open; and Marin Cilic, a 35-year-old Croatian veteran and former world No. 3.
According to the schedule, the singles preliminaries will be held on September 17, followed by the main events. The competition time is basically from 12 noon to 1:30 pm, and the semi-finals and finals will start later, at 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm respectively. The lowest ticket for the preliminaries is only 50 yuan, and the singles semi-finals and finals F-level tickets are only 180 yuan.
