Daniel Breaker shines as the Jester, guiding us thru the tale with wit and charm. Michael Urie is a hilarious Prince Dauntless, struggling with his own insecurities while yearning for love. Ana Gasteyer steals the show as the deliciously wicked Queen Aggravain, delivering her lines with impeccable comedic timing.
The supporting cast is equally impressive, with standout performances from Oyoyo Joi as the lovelorn Lady Larken, ben Davis as the pompous Sir harry, and David Patrick Kelly as the hilariously silent King Sextimus.
“Once Upon a Mattress” is a true ensemble piece, with each actor contributing to the overall magic. The choreography by lorin Latarro is energetic and playful, perfectly capturing the spirit of the show.
