One Dead, Five Injured in Auckland Crashes

One person died and five others were injured in two separate vehicle crashes in Auckland on April 14, 2026.

Fatal Crash in Te Atatū South

A two-vehicle collision occurred on Tirimoana Road in Te Atatū South. Police were called to the scene shortly after 7 p.m. On April 14, 2026.

One person died as a result of the crash. A police spokesperson stated that Two unoccupied parked cars were damaged during the collision.

The road was closed to traffic to allow the serious crash unit to examine the scene. Police expressed gratitude to motorists for their patience while the inquiries were conducted.

Rollover on Northern Motorway

In a separate incident occurring overnight, five people were injured when a car rolled on the northern motorway. The accident took place near the Wellington Street overbridge in the central city.

St John emergency services deployed four ambulances and two rapid response vehicles to the site. Five patients were assessed by medical personnel at the scene before being transported to Auckland City Hospital.

The conditions of the five injured individuals were reported as follows:

• One person in critical condition
• One person in serious condition
• Three people in moderate condition

Footage from the scene showed that the road was blocked off while officers investigated the crash and took photographs of the rolled vehicle.
