Following the gunfire, the fast-food establishment was placed on lockdown. Authorities confirmed that as of Sunday afternoon, April 12, 2026, no arrests had been made as the investigation continued.
Investigation and Preliminary Findings
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office stated that preliminary investigations suggest the shooting was not a random act of violence. Officials noted there is no immediate ongoing threat to the general public.
Sources familiar with the matter told ABC News that the shooting appeared to be targeted and may have originated from a gang or drug dispute. This proves believed that the individual who was fatally shot was the intended target of the attack.
