Anyang Coach Yoo Byeong-hoon: “We Will Win and Definitely End the Championship Race”

Anyang will face Bucheon FC in the 38th round of the Hana Bank K League 2 2024 at Bucheon Stadium on November 2nd.

With 18 wins, 7 draws, and 9 losses (61 points), Anyang is leading the league, 4 points ahead of 2nd place Asan Chungcheongnam-do (57 points). A single point against Bucheon will secure their promotion to the K League 1.

For Anyang, who has been in the second division since the 2013 K-League Challenge, only one last step remains until their first promotion since the team’s founding.

Coach Yoo Byeong-hoon expressed his determination, saying, “There is one point left to achieve the dream. But in soccer, one point is more difficult than one win. It’s not over until it’s over, so I’ll do my best to get the result.”

He added, “We will cleanly confirm promotion in today’s game and enjoy the remaining home games.”

Coach Yoo Byeong-hoon, who has been a coach at Anyang since the team’s founding, said, “It would be an honor to be a part of Anyang’s new history. It will be the best moment of my life.”

Bucheon, who is playing their final home game this season, is determined not to easily throw a party for others at home.

Coach Lee Young-min said, “We are only thinking about our home fans. Anyang’s win is a matter of later, but first, we will achieve good results in front of our fans.”

Bucheon, ranked 8th with 12 wins, 12 draws, and 10 losses (48 points), still has hopes for the playoffs.

Coach Lee Young-min said, “I want to keep the hope alive. Our players can grow much more if they experience at least the promotion playoffs. We will face Anyang with a calm game management.”
