One UI 7.0: Hidden Feature Lets You Filter Wi-Fi Networks
Samsung’s One UI 7.0 Sneakily Adds Powerful Wi-Fi Filtering Feature
Samsung has quietly tucked a useful new feature into its latest One UI 7.0 interface, allowing users to filter available Wi-Fi networks based on specific criteria. This handy addition, absent from the official changelog, simplifies the process of finding the perfect connection for your needs.

Imagine being able to instantly see only secure networks, or quickly locate those offering the blazing speeds of Wi-Fi 6. With One UI 7.0, this is now a reality.Accessing this hidden gem requires a few specific steps:
- Navigate to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > More options > Wi-Fi Smart.
- Tap repeatedly on the Wi-Fi Smart version number until the Connectivity Labs menu appears.
- Enable the Use filtering menu option.
Once activated, you’ll be greeted with a range of filtering options:
Open: Show only open networks.
Secured: Display only networks with password protection.
2 GHz, 5 GHz, 6 GHz: Filter by frequency band.
Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7: Select networks based on wi-Fi standard.
Keep in mind that not all filters will be available on every device. Older Galaxy smartphones or tablets may lack support for newer standards like Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7. However, the latest models, such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, will benefit from the full range of filtering options.
This hidden Wi-Fi filtering feature is just one of the many improvements arriving with One UI 7.0. Samsung is currently rolling out the second beta of the update, which also includes Game Booster optimizations, the removal of the “secured by Knox” watermark, and various tweaks to the quick settings panel.
