- Place your cursor where you want the content to appear in OneNote.
- You have a few options for pasting as plain text:
Right-click: right-click in the desired location and select “Paste Options” > “Keep Text Only.”
home Tab: Go to the “Home” tab and select “Paste” > “Paste Options” > “Keep Text Only.”
Keyboard Shortcut: Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + V on Windows or Command + Shift + V on Mac.

Which Versions of OneNote are Supported?
microsoft confirms the feature is currently rolling out with:
OneNote for Windows: Version 2508 (Build 19101.10000) or later.
* OneNote for Mac: Build 16.100 (25080335) or later.
