OPEC+ is likely to increase production in October | OPEC Oil Prices | AFN | Belarusian News | Republic of Belarus
OPEC + countries are inclined to increase oil production in October according to previously announced plans, Bloomberg writes, citing representatives participating in the negotiations.
As reported, OPEC+ countries planned to increase production by 180 thousand barrels per day in October. At the same time, the group has repeatedly stressed that it could abandon such a move given the market situation, and many analysts and market participants predicted that this would happen.
But there is currently no indication that the planned production increase will be delayed, said several senior officials who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Oil prices have fallen sharply over the past two months, with North Sea Brent trading below $80 a barrel on Friday. In the meantime, the political crisis in Libya, due to which production in the country has fallen by half, may give room for OPEC + to move, writes Bloomberg.
