OpenAI, valued at $300 billion, is reportedly in discussions to raise⁤ $40 billion. Potential investors include the United Arab Emirates’ MGX, ‍already a shareholder, Saudi arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), and Reliance Industries, led by Indian⁣ billionaire Mukesh Ambani.

SoftBank is ⁤reportedly leading this significant funding round. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman previously met with India’s IT minister to discuss creating a ‍low-cost AI ecosystem. Altman⁤ also planned a UAE visit to discuss funding with⁤ MGX, according to ⁢sources.

In March, OpenAI announced its pursuit of $40 billion in funding at a $300 billion valuation. The company said this investment would allow it to advance AI research,expand its computing infrastructure,and enhance tools for ChatGPT’s 500 million weekly users.
